We had a night at Monachyle Mhor and it was a fabulous location and meal. We drove over and experienced the last 30 minutes off the A84 on a single track road.

When we arrived we realised that Bertie couldn’t stay in the “In the Trees” room we had booked so we looked at a few other options and went for the “Corr” which was a lovely little cabin with some self catering facilities a cute wood burner and an outside deck.

The hotel was pretty full for a Thursday night and we had a drink in the library before having dinner.

The service and food was exceptional and we had a lovely night with a bottle or two of exceptional wine.

Our starter

The highlight was breakfast which was exceptional with lots of local produce, their own honey and freshly baked sourdough.

Claire also managed to fit a swim in the loch before breakfast and it was exceptional weather with fog just clearing as the sun came up.

Into the Loch

We finished the morning with a 9km hike and headed back after a lovely little break – we will definitely be back!
